About Cupcakefest

Cupcakefest is an all-day concert and festival presented by Sweet Avenue. Cupcakefest will feature a full day of bands performing at the Lincoln Park Band Shell (176 Park Ave) in Rutherford, NJ. In addition to the great local music, Cupcakefest also includes tons of awesome crafters and vendors, yummy cupcakes, raffles, and a cupcake eating contest to cap off the day.

This year, Cupcakefest will benefit the John A. Bukowski Shelter for Animals in Bloomfield, NJ and the NJSPCA. All proceeds from raffles will be donated to the Shelter and the NJSPCA, and because the event is free to the public, attendees are encouraged to bring a monetary or pet food/supply donation for the Shelter and/or the SPCA. Donations of all types are always needed and always appreciated.

Elephant Goes West

Elephant Goes West was founded in 2011 by Eric Burchfield (guitar/vocals) and Jonathan Buscema (drums) After completing work on their debut E.P. "Whirling Dervish," they recruited Joe Chernus, Andy Bree and Nicholas Rahn on guitar and bass duties. The Rock-n-Roll Road Show

Rock-n-Roll covers from Elvis P to Elvis C, with an original here and there. The Rock-n-Roll Road Show is a collaboration of veteran muscians, all with experience in both cover and original music. Check our their Facebook page for more about the band!

Based in NJ, Their Planes Will Block Out The Sun combine elements of rock and jazz set to danceable beats. Cupcakefest is awesome and getting bigger and better every year! What better way to promote yourself as a crafter or a local business than to become a vendor or a sponsor at Cupcakefest! You'll get a huge audience of amazing, generous Cupcakefest-goers from all walks of life. We are currently looking for vendors for Cupcakefest 2012. Vendors keep 100% of their profits, and only pay a flat fee for a space. We prefer vegan-friendly/eco-friendly businesses, artists, and crafters, although we are open to most anything. We do, however, reserve the right to refuse any vendors we do not believe align with our goals for Cupcakefest.

Cupcakefest is held at the Lincoln Park Bandshell, located at 176 Park Ave in Rutherford, NJ — Right across the street from Sweet Avenue! Rutherford is easily accesible from Rt. 3, Rt. 17, the Garden State Parkway, and the NJ Turnpike.

About The Shelter

The John A Bukowski Shelter for Animals is located in Bloomfield, NJ. Managed by the township of Bloomfield, the shelter’s animal control serves the towns of Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, and Caldwell. It has been in existence for 40+ years. The shelter employees and volunteers socialize the animals in residence and help potential adopters find the perfect addition to their family. Bloomfield's Neighbor to Neighbor Network (NTNN) is the 501(c)(3) charitable organization under whose auspices the Bloomfield/Bukowski Animal Shelter operates. About The NJSPCA

The New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was created in 1868 and is the second oldest SPCA in the country. Its agents were established as Law Enforcement Officers in charge of investigating and prosecuting all persons involved in animal abuse and neglect.
